Video Tutorial
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Launch FireMail by clicking on the "Launch FireMail" button at the top right of the page on http://www.firemailmarketing.com
- Log in using your details for your license
- Click on the navigation button titled "Campaigns" on the bar at the top of the screen
- Click on "Open" in the dropdown menu that appears
- Choose the campaign you'd like to add a message to and click "Ok"
- Click on the "Add message" button located on the right side of the screen
- Give your message a title and a description. This will only be seen by you, not your prospects.
- By default, your new message will be placed at the end of the sequence. So set an amount of delay days. This means the message will be sent out this amount of days after the previous one was sent to the prospect. You can change the sequence of your messages later.
- Click on "Variation #1"
- Create a subject for your message. The prospect will see this as the Subject of the email they receive.
- You have two options for what your prospect will receive. An HTML message, in which you can customize font size and color, layout, images, and anything else you can do with HTML. We have a basic HTML editor for you to use to create the body of your email. If you'd like to edit the actual HTML code, you can click on the "HTML" button in the editor's toolbar. The other option is a text-only version, which does not have any formatting, just simple text. You can swap between both of these versions by clicking the "Switch to TEXT/HTML Alternate" button on the right side of the screen.
- Once you have made an HTML version, we suggest you copy and paste all of your text into the text-version as well. This will allow for maximum deliverability rates because some email programs cannot accept HTML emails.
- Each message has two variations. This is so you can perform split testing to determine what message works best for your purpose. If you would like to allow split testing, click on "Variation #2" at the top of the screen underneath the navigation menu. Remember to create both an HTML and Text version!
- Click on the "Properties" tab underneath the navigation menu
- Click the buttons labeled "Variation #1 Enabled" and "Variation #2 Enabled" if you have written variations for them. The buttons will be enabled if they are dark blue.
- Enabled the "text only" buttons for each variation if you have only made a text version and not an HTML version.
- Click on the dropdown menu that is labeled "Disabled". Choose Enabled if you would like your message to be immediately available for delivery to prospects. What is the difference between a paused message and a disabled message?
- Click "Save and Return" to return to the campaign screen
